Contributing to our community
At BMG we are proud of our history of supporting local community projects. Our team enthusiastically contribute to these efforts through our Social Welfare Committee that organises the monthly collection of donations from the team via our Casual Wear Day and gold coin donation on the last Friday of each month.
Each year BMG receives numerous requests for monetary assistance for worthwhile causes. Unfortunately, we cannot help them all so each year our Team selects a charity to receive our support and donations.
This year all monies raised will go to the Make a Wish Foundation who will ensure that the donation will be directed to a young recipient in our local community. Last year we presented a cheque to the Murray Valley Centre for the Intellectually Handicapped, which used the donation to assist them in the cost of the upkeep of the Centre's facilities.
BMG recently lent administrative support to the Friends of Abancay project. This was organised locally by Dr Colin Siegert to assist the people of Abancay, Peru with contributions of clothing, food, tools etc. These contributions have been collected and have been delivered by Albury /Wodonga people to the Abancay community in Peru.
Over recent months BMG have been proud to be involved in the Brave Hearts Calendar project led by Mrs Jenny Black and the sale of their 2005 Calendar - the proceeds from which will go towards complementing cancer support services in our local region. If you would like to view or purchase one of these unique calendars just contact us or drop in to our office.
